Salamanca city has vivid places for tourist to enjoy
According to history, Salamanca was a settlement as long back as 1000 to 2000 BC. It was during Christian era that people from different civilizations started to settle down and now it has become a cosmopolitan city. It has all the facilities of a most modern city but it retains many of its beauties so that it would be best reminiscent of the past. This city is located at a distance of about 3 hours drive from Madrid and is just a 1 hour drive from the Portuguese Border.

There is a university started in 1218 which has about 40000 students on roll. This is one of the oldest universities of Europe. With a most imposing campus and the nerve centre of learning, it is certainly a place that should never be missed. Basque – a province dependent on agriculture, yet a prominent tourist spot
This province originally inhabited by people of Indo European origin is located near Cantabrian Mountain. Vizcaya, Guipuzcoa and Alava are the other towns coming under this province. This is a province largely dependent on agriculture but has many interesting places for tourists. The enormous mountain range surrounding the province, a beautiful port, Gothic cathedral are the other places of interest.
The different cities coming under the Basque are in a range of about 30 minutes drive. For example Bilbao, one of the cities of Basque has a beautiful port. There is an ancient church which is said to be centuries old. There is also an imposing building of the Town Hall and a beautiful park surrounding it. Another important area worth seeing is the Guggenheim Museum. The building of this Museum is said to be a masterpiece work of the 20th century. There is an exhibition of modern art. Costa de la Luz:
Certainly this is a most attractive tourist spot. This vast coast line is less populated and is the most ideal place for those who want to spend their holiday in a most peaceful environment. Places of visit in Spain – Barcelona
Any one visiting Spain will never miss a visit to Barcelona. It is such a beautiful place and in and around Barcelona there are many places of interest for the tourist. In fact many of the places have historical importance also. Just a little away from Barcelona there are places to enjoy; the beautiful nature, imposing coves, restaurants serving choicest traditional food of Barcelona, captivating places for wood walk, luxurious villas for comfortable stay, etc. While in Barcelona there are so many places to visit which keeps the tourist engaged throughout the day as well as at night! Guell Park is one such place which is worth visiting.
Guell Park:
The Park has a history of its own. The area where the park is now situated is actually a rocky area. It was actually meant for a commercial housing complex. But the plan did not get support and only one house was built on experimental basis. But even this house was could not be sold. It was Mr. Eusebi Guell who conceived the idea of converting it into a park. The Garden City Movement of Britain instigated Mr. Guell to convert this proposed housing complex into a garden. That was in the year 1904. The only house that was built was bought by Mr. Guell himself. That was in the year 1906. Spain, a heaven for tourists
It is really so; Spain is a heaven for tourists. There are so many places to see, understand its culture and the history behind it. Added to it is the beautiful nature; a vast beach of the Mediterranean Sea with a row of mountains running parallel to it and beautiful coves in between the sea and mountains. This is the real splendor of nature. To enjoy this are the villas. Just a visit will authenticate this claim. ‘Granada’ located at the foot of the famous mountain row Sierra Nevada is one such place visited by tourists. Granada is located at a beautiful spot at a place where the three rivers Beiro, Genil and Darro congregate. Salobrena:
This small town is located on the top of a hill. The fort built on the hill appears like a crown on the head of the king. From the top of the hill which is located at a height of about 105 meters above sea level, one can see the most impressive natural beauty; the three rivers, the blue mountain and greenery around. Guides suggest reaching the hill by foot so that one can enjoy the nature much better. The famous Mudejar church built in the 16th century is located on the top of a mosque.
