Highlights of Barcelona City

The city of Barcelona is known for diverse range of culture, architecture, nightlife and food. In fact, Barcelona is known as the most popular destination for tourists in Spain. The Spanish Siesta

The peculiarly Spanish tradition of the Siesta is known worldwide without having been adopted extensively elsewhere, apart from Spanish outposts.

In the latter part of the afternoon, many shops and businesses close between 2 and 5 p.m. Rather than going home to sleep, many choose to pass the time at a cafe, restaurant or bar. Seville

Seville is the capital of the province of Andalusia. Situated in Southern Spain, it is one of Spain’s most populated cities, its 4th largest, with residents numbering 700,000.

The Guadalquivir River creates the valley in which Seville lies, and was of great import during the Spanish Conquest of the Americas. Its port was the place of arrival of silver and gold mined on the continent of America and it was a strong distribution base from where goods were transported to other parts of Spain. The city of Seville offers an amazing glimpse into Spanish history throughout the ages, as well as its rich culture, such as the famous Flamenco Dancing which hails from the area. Spain, a kingdom located in the South West of Europe is a member of the European Union. The country has a tradition of its own.  It is a country which has a different culture that is influenced by the various civilizations which ruled this kingdom.

Places of interest in Spain – Denia

Denia, located about 85 kilometers from Alicante, is blessed with beautiful beaches and many places of interest. Actually, this town, which has an estimated population of 29000, is dependent on tourism. Of course there are other commercial activities such as fishing. In fact Denia is one of the few provinces which have huge fleets of modern fishing vessels. It also has ferry service to Mallorca, Ibiza and several other places. Now, this place has become one of the most sought after tourist destinations in Spain.

Like any other part of Spain, even this tiny town Denia has many things to offer tourists so that they will enjoy their stay. There is a Castillo (Castle) which is believed to have been built in the 11th or 12th Century. This castle is just in front of the beach and offers an excellent view. It is a wonderful experience to watch the sea and the nearby places from the top of the castle. Fishermen’s quarters are yet another place which should not be missed. The narrow cobbled roads and buildings perfectly whitewashed take the visitor back in time to the medieval period. Keep Safe on Your Trip to Spain

Getting pick-pocketed or mugged can be an annoying and disheartening experience while you are on a holiday in Spain. Following certain safety rules will keep the chances of you being an easy target at bay.

While in Spain, you must not look like a tourist. You don’t have to buy a new set of wardrobe to dress appropriately but wearing some casual clothes and not dressing up too much will help.
